Upside
This is Canon's absolute entry-level printer -- they'll be giving them away before long. As long as you don't expect top-shelf performance, you'll find this a handy little printer.

Downside
If you're dazzled by the great display and connectivity features appearing on today's colour printers, this unit will probably leave you cold.

Bottom line
The iP1600 is an affordable (before you get to replacing the consumables, that is) workhorse that will churn out the prints.
