We hope people never, ever get tired of modifying their household appliances to fit in with the Star Wars universe.

This time, it's Instructables user iminthebathroom, who has made a coffee machine in the shape of everyone's favourite droid.

The unit contains an industrial BUNN dripolator, over which the user performed fancy feats of welding and painting to create a danged life-like model of the astromech. It even lights up and beeps when the coffee is ready.

But ... if you have your coffee black, does this mean R2 is on the dark side?
