Are you a budding film-maker? Here's a competition where you can win a Hollywood experience, as well as a stack of prizes.

The competition is being run by Aussie company Rode, best known for their microphones. The Rode Rockumentary film competition is calling for a two-minute short film, which will be shown to a panel of judges, including renowned photographers and cinematographers like Philip Bloom, Chase Jarvis and Jared Abrams.

The catch? You need to use a Rode microphone somewhere in the production to be eligible. The winners will be flown to LA to film and document the winners of the Rode Rocks international band competition, and mentored by both Bloom and director Jason Wingrove. The prize haul for the second- and third-placed entries include an AU$25,000 swag of equipment like microphones, studio monitors and camera accessories. Entries close at the end of August 2012.
