Samsung E730

By Jeremy Roche on 15 August 2005

It's a compact, MP3-playing phone with a sleek black finish, a good camera, and enough internal memory to hold about twenty songs at any one time.

    might be getting it!!!

i honestly think its a good fone. alot of people have said though, that the mp3 thing wastes the battery. i want to use the mp3 for a 45 minute bus trip to school. would that last me, AND the whole day of school? i might be getting it, over the LG's and sony ericsson's, beacuse its compact, got everything i need on it, and its worth every dollar. gud fone i suggest!!!

    mp3 issues.

I recently just baught this phone but ive been having problems in uploading mp3's onto the phone. The blue tooth signal wont pick up. I also cant use the software on the cd because nothing happens after the installation.
So all in all i cant get mp3's onto my phone.
Is there any way that this problem can be solved.

    Battery life is not acceptable.

If you use GPRS or the Java programs, you are lucky to have the phone running for 24 hours.

Great little phone. All my friends want one now!

This is my first Samsung mobile and I am never going back to the big "N" or "S-E" again. It looks great - people are constantly asking to look at my handset. It is very well made, cleverly designed, is an MP3 player & radio. The only problem I've had was getting to work with the supplied PC software but after a quick call to Samsung, all sorted! I'm very happy with my E730.

    Good phone, I recommend it

I just got this phone yesterday and i think its very good. $531 from MobileSelect. Previous phone was a Nokia 6610.

Im new to flips and havent had any issues so far. The screen on this phone looks great and is big enough. The menu interface is also fairly good although a bit different to my former Nokia.

I like all the options it has, although the stopwatch stops working as soon as you close the phone unless there's an option Im not aware of.

Awesome, it's like the D500, but in a flip phone

Phone is stylish and works well overall

I've had the (dis)pleasure of owning a multiple brands of phones already. This phone is by far the best so phone I've had in a while. Battery time does suck, but lightness in weight really makes up for it. Phone is MUCH funner than nokias, and works much better than many motorolas. My phone came with USB port so no complaints here, although its mp3 capabilities is limited its size and style I believe definitely make up for it. It also has one more function where you can set the front screen to display a picture depending on whose calling.

    Sync issue with Outlook

Samsung have advised me that recurring appointments (i.e. Birthdays) are not supported. If you have any of these in your calendar The Sync will NOT WORK AT ALL. Samsung should clearly display this disclaimer on thier advertising material but they opt to bluff the consumer. Stick with Nokia!!!
