The Good:All my friends can't believe the picture quality. Watching movies is just awesome, even my older dvd's look great..

The Bad:Speakers are ok, but then when you pay this much for a tv, you'd better be able to match it with a decent sound system.Bought a Yamaha RV 3900 and Bowers and Wilkins speakers, just soooo sweeeet.

Blacks are vivid and contrast levels are also good. Mini remote could have had backlighting. Thats about it. Excellent tv and it runs so cool, compared to plasma's.

The Good:Unbelievable picture quality,Heaps of picture tweaking options,Nice interface,Deep blacks,Uses half the power of some plasmas

The Bad:Your partner will wonder why you never see each other any more.It cannot cook or clean. You may have to sell your car to afford it.

We have had our 55 inch for around a week and it is simply stunning.
I had initially set off to buy a Sony 200hz "z" series 46 inch lcd at the store, having done all my homework I had decided that it was probably about the best picture i could get from an Lcd and was also considering a Samsung series 7 200hz lcd as well. When I arrived at the local store to my surprise they had both models in stock and running demos on them.
It was also pretty hard not to notice the only LED in store with all the shiny stickers and promotional crap around it.Every 55 inch of it gleaming in all of its high definition glory.I had an open mind to it from the start even if it was a little bit bigger than I originally intended and a bit more expensive.Having an opportunity to compare it directly with the other 2 televisions, both running in HD and which by the way are 2 very good lcd's and no slouches when it comes to performance was really an eye opener. There was little in common between the Led and the lcd's I was considering. The picture was breathtaking and almost looked 3 dimensional, like you could touch it .It was the clearest and most perfect picture I had ever seen.I literally couldn't believe how much better the picture could possibly be.It wasn't really a case of having to sell me on it,my friend works there and I paid cost plus gst and I didn't have to go through all the normal sales BS,which I can imagine the sales reps are having a field day with this one.Once you have it set up at home there is always some little part in the back of your head that says"was that just the most impulsive, stupid decision I have ever made".Though now it's been days of watching Blu ray,Hd Tv,loads of sport and Xbox 360,as well as virtually living in the Tv room I can say that it is customisable to suit almost the fussiest of viewers,it has a fantastic array of features and an amazing picture. It also uses 40% less power than most other flat screens and given electricity is going up by around 30% next year that's not a bad thing. This model was bought as an upgrade for our plasma,so plasma owners I can honestly say that you won't have a problem with the blacks on this tv,they are very deep and you can change the levels as well.It has handled the footy all weekend with ease, and you can set the motion blur and shudder levels although I didn't find a problem.I think the only problem is that my wife doesn't see me as much any more and maybe a little less has been done around the house since the arrival of LED.
But overall very satisfying.

The Good:lovely design, picture quality is absolutely awesome. comes with normal remote and extra mini remote, DLNA network feature is great

The Bad:I would say the speakers are not that great - given the TV is so thin it's probably no surprise. I have hooked up the optical audio out to my surround system though so it's no problem for me.

superb high def picture. I was amazed at how better our DVD's now look. Colours are fantastic, and motion is smooth. Have setup onto our home network with DLNA feature and love streaming video/music/pictures to it - no more burning DVD's, etc.

I wouldn't buy any TV without this DLNA feature if you have a lot of digital media.

USB ports are also a handy feature for quickly viewing files. Haven't seen better blacks on anything else.

Overall highly recommended and very satisfied. I found the 55inch hard to find in stock. I am happy I went with the larger screen size though - would never go back to 40inch.

The Good:amazing to view in flesh and wall mount a cinch

The Bad:local dimming?

it looks wonderful and is a fair but cheaper than the Sony which has the same innards. Local dimming is the big question - IE it doesn't have it from my research - so you lose some of the benefits a proper LCD (LED lit) TV can give you. But pictures look superb on this TV - far better than the other high end LCDs I saw at the store. Vivid Blacks make contrast high end Plasma like and the power consumption slays Plasma.
