Samsung UltraTouch (S8300)

Its camera is great and the screen looks amazing, but the UltraTouch is not a knockout. It's a weird mix of business looks, average apps and dodgy performance, and we just can't tell who exactly Samsung is trying to sell it to.

    Just awful as a phone.
    The UI got on my nerves until i stopped using it after a week.
    My old SE k750 gets 2MP nice clean pics, this one gets 8MP of blurr, yeah baby, 8.
    I'm selling it with its high horse and all...

    • Bad: battery!!! slow to open pics,

    i barely get a day out of my battery, and it takes forever to open up a picture!!! appart from that its a great phone, and looks cool

    • Good: good battery, AMOLED screen, vibration touch, 8 mp camera
    • Bad: no zoom, crap game, laggy, no wi-fi??, blurry photo's and hard to use buttons

    I have had this phone for a few months now, at first extremely happy with it, 8mp camera is ok sometimes brings out blurry pics and no zoom my bf's sony ericsson c905 much nicer, very disappointed in the lack of games and no wi-fi, can not scroll through songs or photos like u can through contacts. extremely laggy, everytime i open photo browser the phone reboots. I use my phone quite a bit i make probably 15 calls per day and have had excellent battery life can last for 4 days. overall thinking I should have listened to the bf and gotten a sony ericsson c905.

    I got this phone with my very first plan. It was a novelty toy at first and was ultra cool, but it is just such a pain-in-the-****-phone! It lags like you wouldn't believe! (6 seconds to open a picture! - count it out aloud), freezes when I try to re-send sms's (and one of the most annoying things is when you do not have reception, it doesn't send the msg and gets out of the whole msging screen/menu and goes back to the desktop!! The camera button is in the stupidest place, I find taking photos difficult on some angles. And to be honest, I can not stand touch screens! You have to actually look at the keypad/screen whilst typing/pressing. I liked when I could look at someone, pretending to listen, and still send a test msg by feeling the buttons. I have sent this phone away twice now and I'm waiting to get it back after the second time so I can change it to a trusty Nokia or something. *sigh*

    Can I just point out to everyone that is complaining about the absence of a QWERTY keyboard, the the screen is only 2.8 inches. You generally hear a lot of reviews saying that QWERTY keyboards don't fit on a 3.0 inch so I think Samsung have actually dilberatly avoided the keyboard because it is just inadequate for use.

    no operating system, battery lags, divx doent play as there is no vod videos,touch screen lags

    • Good: amoled, 16m color is real unlike the nokia one, currently has the best resolution in camera(proven by reviewers)
    • Bad: battery life, lack of stylus!

    better that innov8 so of course its better than the c905! pixon? it will just belittle the pixon
