Samsung UltraTouch (S8300)
By Joseph Hanlon on 08 May 2009
Its camera is great and the screen looks amazing, but the UltraTouch is not a knockout. It's a weird mix of business looks, average apps and dodgy performance, and we just can't tell who exactly Samsung is trying to sell it to.

How is this phone compared with Omnia I?
Design wise, I prefer the samsung ultratouch but I have read the reviews of this phone and apparently, it looks like the functions of the samsung ultratouch are a far cry from omnia especially the wi-fi function, audio capabilities (does it mean that a headset cannot be attached to the ultratouch?), and good touch sensitivity.
Value wise, will the value of the ultratouch drop faster than the omnia or the other way? -

- Good: Touch Screen, Sliderphone, Easy To Use, Pictures
- Bad: Laggy... Battery life....
Overall this is a great phone, but Samsung should have thought about the battery life on this device! You can luckily get a extra battery for the phone. The laggy interface really annoys me but it is impossible to get more CPU into such a small device.
I recommend this phone to all the people who like trying different things and are not in a hurry every day. -

- Good: Camera, Clear Screen, Slim
- Bad: No wi-fi
I got this phone yesterday and haven't found anything wrong with it so far. Would be better if it had wi-fi. I've never owned a touch screen before and think it's great. Everything at one single touch :D

- Good: Basically everything?
- Bad: Low battery power
I just bought my phone today and I had to say it was pretty impressive. It's charging at the moment because of the Battery Power but overall I really do like it. People complain about small keys but luckily I have small fingers and it's pretty good to navigate. I love it!

- Good: It looks pretty
- Bad: Quite a few...
I bought the phone and had it for 4 weeks before accidentally leaving it in the back seat of a taxi. Aesthetically it is a desirable looking phone. I agree texting is a nightmare, with my plan i have unlimited calls so i just called everyone rather than go through the hassle of texting! Trying to use youtube and other sites like facebook they try charge you $5.95 for unlimited access... I had an issue with the last missed call i received (whether it was a day or two ago) reappearing everytime i received a new msg or new missed call. Regardless i actually did like the phone and will be spending another $700 on getting another one... (BUT THIS TIME WITH INSURANCE!)
