Security suites for 2010

While the savvy user can often get by without virus protection of any kind, today's suites offer much more.

Whether it's software firewall protection, or just clever new ways to detect unknown threats, these days internet security suites are trying to be more about prevention, and less about the cure.

One to keep an eye out for that we haven't reviewed yet is McAfee Total Protection 2010, which we should hopefully cover soon. As more suites roll in, we'll keep adding them here.

AVG Internet Security 9.0

The feature-rich versions of popular security program AVG have been updated, with AVG Technologies claiming faster scan times, faster boot times and other under-the-hood improvements.
