The good:

  • Allows you to combine nearly all of your IM services (Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, Jabber, etc.) into one client.
  • Near-infinite tailoring of the UI to match your tastes.
  • Features a refined, tabbed interface.

The bad:

  • Doesn't support Skype IM
  • File transfers fail, on occassion.
  • Only available on Mac
  • Doesn't offer audio or video chat

The bottomline:

Adium is quite simply the best instant messaging (IM) client available. Period.
