In coming weeks, Yahoo's Flickr photo-sharing site will revamp its interface for showing "geotagged" photos -- those that are labelled with the location where they were taken along with the more ordinary tags and titles that people attach.

The Flickr maps interface, at the global level, currently shows pink circles indicating where recent geotagged photos can be seen, but the new interface will show tags by default. Users will be able to cycle through different sets of tags to get new views. Eventually, the tag interface will spread to more local map views, but for now those maps will keep the pink circles.
