Norton Internet Security 2007 User reviews

By Robert Vamosi on 23/01/2007

More Symantec reviews , RRP: AU$99.95

The good:

  • Lower price than before
  • Runs faster
  • Includes cutting-edge rootkit and behavioral monitoring features found nowhere else

The bad:

  • Requires twice as much disk drive space as McAfee or ZoneAlarm
  • No antiphishing toolbar for Firefox
  • No ID vault or password protection

The bottomline:

Norton Internet Security 2007 makes significant gains over last year, including cutting-edge rootkit and behavioral monitoring features found nowhere else, but the overall package could be serious overkill for the average desktop owner.

Affects Shut-Down process of my computer. Sometimes gives cCapp error message, a part of Norton's program. Still requires a large amount of disk-space.

Pros: A lot has improved with this version of Internet Security. It's a lot more stable and uses RAM and CPU more efficiently than it's previous versions. The Firewall offers superb protection and it's antivirus is a lot more easy to customize. I could probably credit Symantec's greatly improved version of their famous Internet Security Suite to their customer's who frequently complains of slowing down their pc's and being a RAM-Hogg.

Cons: Affects Shut-Down process of my computer. Sometimes gives cCapp error message, a part of Norton's program. Still requires a large amount

Norton security of 2006 has less features and protection. I just installed the 2007 version. Really amazing ! I love to use this.

Norton is very heavy than other anti virus softwares. But its very good and make my computer clean from all viruses. Its fast because in this software gestionale engine be worked. I like this anti virus and prefer to all others that this is the best antivirus.

Pros: Scans links in IM messages.
Fast responsive.

Cons: Lacks hourly updates.
