I bought a KDL55XBR45 three years ago and its now knackered. Lots of thin horizontal lines all over the screen. I will never buy Sony again. But if you can't resist because you are a fanboy, may I suggest extended warranty.

What I would like to know is does the EPG system work properley. Despite spending 3K on the HX800 55, the EPG is rubbish. You have to cycle through all the channels to get the info, and it often loses it as well!

Why do television manufacturers insist on shipping their televisions with ugly remotes? This is especially annoying on higher end/more stylish TV's
