Upside
The V series of LCDs represent the high end of Sony's new Bravia range, and comes in three screen sizes -- the 40-inch KLV-V40A10 (AU$5799), the 32-inch KLV-V32A10 (AU$3999) and the 26-inch KLV-V26A10 (AU$3199). All three of the sets in this series feature the same styling -- a black panel surrounds the 16:9 format screen, with a thin sliver of silver found underneath. All in all, the look is quite pleasing, although it is becoming a little standard for flat panel sets nowadays.

The V series boasts the same screen resolution as the mid-tier B series Bravias (at 1366x768 pixels), but does feature some notable extras such as a higher contrast ratio of 1300:1 and better brightness at 500 cd/m2. The V series also has a quick 8ms response time, making it ideal as an output for a PC or laptop. And as befitting its high def capabilities, the V series Bravias feature HDMI connectivity for an all digital audio/video link up. Other connectors include component, S-Video, PC and USB.

Sony is also touting some new technologies built into the set that improve picture quality. The V series sets have a built-in light sensor which automatically adjusts picture setting depending on the light conditions in your room, while Wide Colour Gamut True Colour technology is said to increase the overall colour range. Rounding off the V series list of features is SRS TruSurround audio.

Downside
The V series features twin television tuners, but alas they're only analog yet again, making the purchase of a digital set top box a must.

Overall
On paper, Sony's V series of Bravias looks to represent great value for the specs. Look out for a full review soon.

The Good:Great for watching Dvd & Blu ray and excellent with ps3 game's, kiss ****

The Bad:1 HDMI , 768 pixil (no 1080 i or p) and no HD build in buy still good,

Great LCD, apart from the downside of not having a HD build + 1 HDMI port and also is not 1080i-p, still great LCD for viewing.

Mate what a television! The football looks fantatsic and for movies, i'm totaly blown away by the impressive clarity and detail - so sharp! Very addictive to watch, just can't get enough of it. The Bravia is great HD Viewing now but wait for Blu-ray and the Sony PS3 for this baby to really shine!!
