Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W180
By Alexandra Savvides on 14 July 2009
With a 10.1 megapixel sensor, the W180 is a fairly standard compact camera, as it has a 3x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.

- Good: nothing is good if pictures come out so bad
- Bad: no sharpness in pictures, space they occupy is huge, this camera is a waste of my money, sony has disappointed
I would rate the Sony W180 SteadyShot Digital Camera 1 out of 10. The picture quality is very poor for a 10 megapixel camera. All pictures came out blur/hazey and with no shartness to show for its 10 megapixel. Service center guy said that the picture would come out better if taken outside in day light. So according to him if I have to take some candid shots inside the house, then the quality will be poor! I am really disappointed and hope some big shot at Sony is reading this and will give me back my money, cos this was a total waste!

- Good: Very fast shoot time, even with flash at night. Clear very logical controls and menu system. Very clear pictures
- Bad: Lack of viewfinder
All I can say is that I will throw my Olympus camera away - it took AGES to actually click the shot. This camera, for the price, must be the best you can get. Easy controls, menus that make it unnecessary to read the manual, controls that have finally become user friendly. There is a lovely click down switch from photo to movie to review. Al it needs is a viewfinder for night shots and a nice pouch to put it in.
