Sony DCR-SR40
By Philip Ryan, CNET.com on 26 September 2006
Sony's DCR-SR40 is a solid, midlevel, hard-drive-based option, though still-image buffs won't be impressed with this camcorder's submegapixel snapshots.

just one mans comment, but the majority of us ARE casual shooters, great cam for ease of use and excellent for everyday holiday shoots. 30g is enough for what most uses need, considering a full movie is around 4.7g. a new battery is a good idea.
- Good: easy to handle, great quality, reliable sony camera.
- Bad: no light shoe, but no drama
