Sony Ericsson C902

By Joseph Hanlon on 24 June 2008

This is the best camera phone in the Cyber-shot family to date. The pictures we've taken are sharp and colourful, and the camera operation is easy and intuitive. It may be missing some of the tech we see in many smartphones, but then, the C902 isn't a smartphone.

Its a great phone. The camera is excellent and easy to use. The media application is fantastic.

    • Good: Great camera
      Slim
      Stylish
      Quick internet access.
    • Bad: Battery life could be better,
      Doesnt support microSD memory card,
Keys are a bit small and hard to use.

Phone overall is very good, I upgraded from the SE W890 but have found battery life to be a bit on the downside, will adjust settings to see how I go with reduced brightness as suggested in the review. Camera is excellent, buttons take getting used to because of their shape.

    • Good: Camera
Slimist phone with a 5 MP camera
      Nice design
Jampacked with features with the exception of GPS
    • Bad: Battery life could be better
      Buttons
Shortcut option not available for direct link to music player like it's predecessors.

I was a Nokia user and this is my first time to own a SE. To be honest, it was a pleasant change.

    • Good: The camera takes nice shots (not fantastic, but definitely amazing for a mobile phone) and the screen is great. Interesting design - eye catcher, for sure.
    • Bad: The shutter is not very responsive. Also, the screen is a tad bit on the small side. Finally, the buttons are not that great. They're too small and feel plastic-y.

    nice mobile phone :)
this phone design is 9 out of 10 :D

    • Good: Slim
      Sexy :P
      Good camera
      Send to blog feature
    • Bad: Sumhow hard to press keypad..
      Shutter lag

Was expecting a faster camera. has a lot of lag like the nokia n73 had so not very impressed with that. Husband has the C702 and it is a lot quicker, so I get the subject before it moves. not 3 seconds after.

    • Good: 5MP camera, slim
    • Bad: camera speed has lag, a calculator would be nice :)

    Great overall phone

    • Good: Slim, stylish design and a breeze to use
    • Bad: Battery life is terrible even when the brightness setting is reduced

for the size of the phone vs the quality of camera and all its offers it really is a good phone. had it 5 days now and have become used to the keypad. d-pad is a god send compared to joystick

    • Good: excellent camera, thin, easy to use, need for speed pro st (haha), stylish design, cool touch screen when in camera mode :)
    • Bad: hard to open camera with one hand
  • elcamino gave 9/10 on 21/07/2008 17:20 Report abuse

really happy with this after 10 days of talking, fiddling with themes [all adaptable from K800 etc] and generally playing around ~ as well as taking some pretty good photos

    • Good: Great size and feel. I like the buttons [d-pad works heaps better than the joystick of the K800] and the menus are excellent; and it's great for one handed use...
    • Bad: except for opening the camera [not so easy one handed]
The smaller lens size offsets the 5megapixels but for a camera phone is still OK
