    • Good: -Great value for money
      -Fantastic battery life
      -Reliable
      -Very sexy "spoiler"
    • Bad: -Joystick breaks after heavy/long usage.
      -Screen gets dirty easily

    I got this phone at a bargain price when it was discontinued. Cost me $70, and is to date the best phone I have ever had. Can go almost a week without charging, and has survived being dropped in water. The only reason i bought a new phone was because the joystick broke.

    • Good: * MP3/AAC media player: convert music to AAC (mono low bitrate) and the memory will hold about 15-20 songs. Playback sounds quite good.
      * MIDP2.0 and 3D Games
      * Runs OperaMini and you have the web on the go
      * Runs flurry and you have your email and RSS feeds on the go (I can't make the built-in email work)
      * Does not have a camera (I prefer a DSLR for my photography)
      * Good Calendar, functional phonebook
      * Overall reliable system
      * Intuitive user interface - I've tried Motorolas and Samsungs and they have so-so bad UIs. Nokias are good too UI-wise.
    • Bad: * Bad screen:
      - 128*128pixel (OK for the price segment)
      - 65K colors (should be enough to view photos, but)
      - CSTN: this thechnology is really outdated. Colors are dull, the picture is not uniformly backlit. You won't be able to read under the sun sometimes even when you shadow the display by your hand.
      - 1.5 inches (small)

      * Problems with the phonebook
      * The speakerphone function is burried in the menu, so you can't activate it without looking at the phone and interrupting your conversation. You cannot activate it before initiating the conversation either.
      My shortcut to this is while conversation, press the joystick and then 5 on the dialpad. Still it doesn't work like a dedicated softbutton but it helps.

    I own this phone for one year and a half now. With all its features, the screen is a PITA. Whenever you get addicted to a game or read a book or browse the web using OperaMobile your eyes will get strained. It took some time until I understood my degraded vision was due to the phone. I did a recheck of my vision after a few months of not using the phone for the above-mentioned activities and my sight was back to normal.
    I've got some strange problem with the phonebook. I only couldn't send SMS to some friends until I deleted their records both from the phone and SIM card and manually entered their numbers... Calling them from the phonebook was working OK. Recreating their record SOMETIMES worked.
    Other than that I like the phone.

    What shall I buy next?
    Either a Sony Ericsson with a big display,
    or a Nokia with SymbianOS

    • Good: Small and extremly light,
      lays good in your hand
    • Bad: Joystick problems all the way,
      small and "loose" buttons,
      low resolution screen with few colors

    This is one of the phones made in the SE joystick problems glory era.

    • Good: * I've owned a few phones, and this one has the best battery life I've ever seen (I have it turned on practically 24/7, & I only need to charge it once every one-and-a-half to two weeks!
      * Info sections on the phone - they tell you what different features of the phone do. It also has a really helpful setup wizard.
      * An excellent inbuilt handsfree feature, which works really well!
    • Bad: The only con, and the only thing that took a bit of getting "used to" was the "joystick/navigation key"; at first it was a bit hard to use, but after a short amount of time, it's really easy to use!

    I absolutely love this phone!

    It is CooL

    I have it. I don't need camera so it's great. mp3s, videos, games and with USB cable it's even better... 12 MB but that is enough for me. I got it for 2 kunas - that is 33.33 cents. Yeah ;)

    RELIABLE AND SECURE

    This phone offers a long life battery and has the typical 'sony ericsson' layout which i think is the best around . i have just lost my Samsung d600 and needed a phone until i get a new one . i have been given this one from a friend and i don't think i will bother going buying a new one when i have got this one in one piece .

    2 Dollar :D
