Sony Ericsson K750i
By Jeremy Roche on 04 August 2005
A big thumbs-up to Sony Ericsson for not only being the first to market in Australia with a 2-megapixel camera phone, but for making an innovative and almost flawless phone as well.

great phone
- Good: undoubtedly an icon during its day and age. best SE phone which killed off its competition at its peak.
- Bad: getting a bit old, but aging gracefully

Not a bad phone, have had one for nearly 2 years, but had it serviced after 11 months due to joystick not working and dusty screen, I was told it was a design fault and they put in a gasket to stop it happening again, that didn't work, and now the camera button is starting to become unreliable
- Good: Good camera, easy to use phone
- Bad: The stupid joystick lets in dust making the screen really hard to see
The vibrate function is pretty ordinary, I miss heaps of calls when it's in my pocket on silent

This phone is fanatstic for the general user. I found it easy to use and it's a lot better than most other phones I know of.
- Good: Big screen, great functionality, 2MP Camera, Bluetooth, decent memory
- Bad: Joystick, earphones

What a reliable phone! I have used countless phones over the past decade (eg, Motorola V3, Nokia 6100, Motorola E398, various LG's, Samsung D600, and many more) and the Sony K750i takes the cake as the most trustworthy. So far, in its 2-year life, it has had only one problem (the crap joystick) but apart from that, it has been a tank and a half. I've used it in so many conditions (rain, hail, shine, in the sauna); it is indescribeable how great it had stood upon these conditions.
- Good: 2 megapixel camera is still good enough for me in a mobile phone
Good quality housing
Logical menu layout
Satisfactory features list, even after 2 whole years
Best bang-for-your-buck at $200 with optus
Feels like it will last another whole year - Bad: Almost nothing, however the screen should be a lot better (acceptable, considering that it is now a very old phone)
Headphones, which come standard with the phone, definitely aren't the best, but you can change them with W800i's excellent in-ear headphones at your own cost.
- Good: 2 megapixel camera is still good enough for me in a mobile phone

I am havin this mobile for the past 8 months and it is basically gud for the one who wishes to have a phone for general purpose...
Camera is bit good with gud features....
The menu is quite user friendly and will b able to navigate for the one who doesn't even knew how to operate....
The life of the battery is simply great..
I use to charge that every 2 1/2 days, inspite of my usage for radio and media player- Good: great battery life, clarity of the picture,Interactive
- Bad: Joystick, Walkman series is better for those interested in music. (Still u can change the software of k750 to w800 completely with a software), Will hang sometimes but not frequently

I was a little hesitant to stray away from my V3, but after buying this phone I'm quite surprised and extremely happy with the quality and features included in a handset of its price range.
- Good: ~Wonderful camera.
~Well set out menu, very easy to follow.
~Good, clear screen; which is a joy after putting up with my ridiculously flawed V3. - Bad: Am yet to find any let-downs with this phone. Was a fantastic choice in my opinion.
- Good: ~Wonderful camera.

Optus Prepaid launched the K750i phone for $199. I gave the phone a try and absolutely love it. It has everything that a techno wizz would love and coupled with Sony's easy to use system it's a perfection.
- Good: Everything! It has everything especially it comes with both Infrared and Bluetooth. For the price I paid for its a bargain.
- Bad: The camera covers juts out making holding the phone while messaging is abit uncomfortable. If you put the phone down, the first thing that will get scratch is the alluminium camera lense cover. So gotta be careful!
