Sony Ericsson unveils T707

By Kent German on 27 March 2009

Though Sony Ericsson is promising that it won't be introducing any new phones at the CTIA show next week, the company did unveil a new model on Thursday in Miami. The Sony Ericsson T707 offers a sleek flip design with multimedia features, and it has the official endorsement of tennis player Maria Sharapova. Lucky it.

On the outside the T707 sports a thin profile with calling lights, a glossy skin and minimalist touches like a hidden external display. Three colours are available: mysterious black, spring rose, and lucid blue.

Features are solidly mid-range. You'll find a 3.2-megapixel camera, a music player, stereo Bluetooth, an FM radio, a personal organiser, USB mass storage, PC syncing, a voice recorder and a speakerphone. It also supports Sony Ericsson's gesture control feature, which allows you to control some calling functions and the alarm clock by waving your hand across a sensor on the T707's front face. And as a quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) and tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100) handset, it will support calling and 3G networks around the world.
