Sony Ericsson W810i

By Kent German on 09 January 2006

CES 2006: Sony Ericsson added to its spiffy Walkman mobile phone line with the introduction of the new Sony Ericsson W810i.

Sporting a candy bar shape similar to the Sony Ericsson W800i's, the W810i comes in black rather than orange and features slightly redesigned navigation keys. And this time, the company even got the design of the dial-pad keys right.

Features include the usual assortment of Walkman phone offerings, including an MP3 and AAC music player, as well as an FM radio. You still have to transfer music to the phone from a computer using a USB cable, but this time around, Sony Ericsson wisely included a 3.5mm headphone jack. The W810i comes with a 512MB Memory Stick Pro Duo, which can store about 150 music tracks. If you want more tunes, you can take your W810i to a Sony retail store for an upgrade to a 2GB. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera, text and multimedia messaging, a speakerphone, Bluetooth and an infrared port, 20MB of internal memory, and e-mail support.

Well, they are really focusing on music huh? Maybe people will get more badazeled with...oh lets say 2.3 Megapixel camera, even the .3's can make a huge difference...(with price). Looks Tons better then the W800i, which i personally find very unatractive, unlike its stylish darker brother the K750i. Geez, even the buttons are configured to make the music playing easier. I really want to see this baby in real life, and maybe play around with its features. Looks very interesting, but will cost a fortune...

So does this really include the FM Reciever? I've read that it's been excluded in the w810.
