This thin, light music phone is a hit for Sony Ericsson -- just ignore the gimmicky bits.

    • Good: features
    • Bad: constant turning off

After 12 months of this phone constantly turning off and the sim constantly going inactive, I smashed it. The best thing i ever did to it. Will avoid SE in future. Get the basics right SE.

    • Bad: worst phone ever

this phone has got to be the biggest pile of shite i have ever used. its turns of and on. my backlight also likes to turn itself off like alot of the tim n i have to wait then until the number pad's lights turn off before trying it again. i have never had so much grief from a phone as far as am concerned sony ericsson can go **** it's self. this phone has angered me so much its been bounced of walls dorrs floors more times than enough all because sony ericsson cant make a decent working phone

    • Good: Its a great phone for how much u pay, the media player is pro and way better than other phones for this price
    • Bad: Freezes occasionally, but i dont mind

This is a great phone, had it for almost a year and its heaps good. Yeah it freezes, but i can put up with it.... Unless it gets real bad, then i just leave it for a week and use my other phone, which is crap... Its only been freezing since i've been using telstra (its and optus phone) so yeah...
But its a great phone, and when something breaks off it it just adds character haha (the screw out of the slider broke off recently, so the whole screen cover lifts up now, but i reckon its cool haha)
The phone hasnt died yet, so im lucky. I think it only freezes coz i have like 700 songs and a heap of videos on it...
I use it as my camera, i have a digital camera (6 mp) but this is better quality for photos and video quality is great for a 2 mp phone. My friend has an LG phone which is also 2 mp, but my camera is way better.
Another thing i like is that you can change themes and stuff, i reckon thats great. But i would like it if the vibration (for when you receive a message etc.) was a bit more effective, sometimes i can hardly feel it, even if its in my hand.
I dont know what sony ericsson was thinking when they put the speaker on the back, right where your hand covers it, but its a hell good speaker and is way louder and higher quality than most phones. It is a great phone

    • Good: Good sized screen, thin
    • Bad: Everything else-not reliable!

Had this phone for 18 months, and it has always been problematic. Phone would always turn itself off, and I would have to turn it back on 4 or 5 times a day. According to Sony Ericsson it's just a 'quirk' of the phone, and I should just get used to it. When it wasn't turning itself off it would 'freeze up', with the keypad lights continually flashing. Little screw dislodged from inside the slide mechanism and flew out. Now the microphone doesn't work, and is going to cost me at least $150 to repair. Dream on!! Gonna take it to a big lake and see how many skips I can get out of it when I fling it into the water..Stay away from this phone!

Was a good phone, i got over the fact that it restarts itself all the time. however, i only had the phone less than 6 months and all the buttons on the screen section stopped working. now all i have is an expensive phone shaped pocket watch. i wont get it repaired as my friends who have had problems and paid to get them fixed, got their phones back and all that was different was they were cleaned with a repaired sticker on them. Problems werent fixed. I will just get a new phone. People stay away from this phone.

    • Good: everything
    • Bad: restart issue EASILY FIXED!

the restaring issue is because if you have too many media files in the phone it lags,

there IS SO A CAMERA ZOOM >:@

and you can fix the bad quality of the cameraby turning on night mode, its AMAZING after that.

i myself was dissapointed with it before hand, i am a photographer,
and i turned on night mode and its ten times better

stop bagging this phone when its TINY problems are soooo easy to fix, learn to play with your phone people.

Be aware that if you return your handset to a sony erricson approved repairer under what you think is warranty, and they decide that your warranty is voided for whatever reason they will charge you $38.50 service fee before returning the phone, fixed or not. What a rort!!! My problem was that it kept turning itself off and then would not turn on again. They say it is caused by water damage (7 months ago,5 secs), funny how its the biggest complaint about this phone, water damaged or not!!!!!
