Sony Ericsson W950i

Convergence? Yeah, Sony Ericsson’s heard of it... This is an excellent MP3 phone let down by a clunky PDA interface and no camera.

Fantastic phone and PDA which doesn't need a camera

I'm using the M600i, and if the W950i is anything like it, this will be fantastic. The one primary "pro" is that it does NOT have a camera, in my humble opinion. When I was looking for a PDA, this was a primary requirement. The Nokia N81 and M600i were the only ones that fit the ticket. Having used the bulky P800 and follow-on models, the M600i was/ is a dream. I have two cell phones and I'm waiting for the 950i to be released to replace my cranky O2 Atom.

    • Good: No Camera
      Symbian platform .. stable
UMTS (works in Korea ... where I travel to often)
      Fast
Carries all of my Outlook Contacts ... which is in excess of 1,200
    • Bad: No Wi-Fi ... kind of a must in today's wired world.

Looks great, high memory, has everything you need...

...EXCEPT for a camera! This is probably as close as you could get to a PDA, and its a great phone for those that can afford it. I havent seen the price, but if its too much, well you may as well get a nice PDA that has everything\better features. For me it would be the *perfect* phone, but no camera!! This really turns me off. It will be interesting to see the next model, which probably will have a camera. I might just wait for that, since a built in camera is just so convenient to have, especially on a college campus. You cant really carry too many things around without the risk of losing something.. I had no idea some places wont let you have a camera phone. Why is that, and where?

A 10 if it had the camera.

    • Bad: Needs a camera! Otherwise great! Asking price too high for a phone w\o camera, its kind of a given a phone should have a camera by now. They could have easily popped in the W810i camera in there without a problem. With that it would be a no question buy for me.

    Great Phone, Great Design

    s.a.

    • Good: unique sleek design, slim + leightweight, lot of memory, really high-quality music playback, bluetooth strereo, fully-featured opera webbrowser, new walkman player 2.0 with support of album covers, really intuitive to use
    • Bad: no camera, means a no-buy decision for most users,
no WLAN, would be nice since several Nokia Phones comparable to this one have already, no ATRAC playback facility - Owners of Sony's Walkman Series Products who have ripped their music into ATRAC need to re-ripp everything.

    perfect without camera

so many places wont let you have mobile phone with camera. At last a decent phone with great stuff (esp. audio) that I can buy BECAUSE it has no camera!

    Great but no camera

Would have been my first choice but no camera!
