Sony Ericsson Z550i

The Z550i is a chic but sensible lower-end phone that does the basics well and adds a sprinkling of extras. We'd rate it higher if not for a significant text-related performance problem.

- Good: Design, voice calling/receiving, radio with very good reception quality, MP3 player, video making, photo capturing with zoom and night mode, scheduling, cronometer, easy using calculator, easy web access, bluetooth, games, movie maker software, conference calling, excelent graphic resolution, and so on
- Bad: Ear phone attachment system is non-compatible with normal head phones; pictures taken in photo mode, even using top resolution, aren't comparable with digital cameras in same resolution
I'm a brazilian guy, and paid for it only US$ 75; instead of other people's, my cell phone came with USB-cable to connect PC.
Althoug it hasn't a memory card installed, bought one (512MB for just US$ 50) and all became OK -

-EVERYTHING - Bad: no camera flash, but hey its a phone!!!!!

I have never had a problem with my Z550i.

- Good: All its feature keeping in mind its price are justified and good.
Specially picture quality and excellent ear-phone sounds - Bad: Speaker voice cud have been louder(better). HOwever for 8 thousand it gives more than anyone else.!! GO for it.

- Good: about 10 mins of video and lots of storage (well, almost)
- Bad: the ringtones are too soft, photos and vids are grainy, mic doesnt cut out background sound. speaker phone makes up for this.

- Good: 1.3 Megapixel Camera,
FM radio,
Media Player,
Expandable Memory Slot,
Nice Design
Excellent picture quality,
The four way navigation metal thing is awesome,
Nice selection of games,
Bluetooth,
Lots of handy shortcuts,
Nice external screen, that tells you the time, battery status, reception, and if you are using an FM radio, or a media player.
Also it is not heavy, which is a good thing for most of the people.
There is a whole folder dedicated to calls, where it displays the missed, received and dialed calls,
Really easy to use.
- Bad: Mobile phone sound is good, but compared to Motorola v3 speaker, it doesn't come close. Also sometimes when you are at bit loud areas, it's really hard to hear a person, you are talking too.
Some people may not like the size of the screen.
For me message style is a little hard to get use to.
When the clamshell is closed, the top half, you can move it couple of millimeters left or right.
Flat keypad may annoy some people.
And a thing that annoys me the most, is that in the package you get the worst ever made handsfree by Sony Ericsson, that really annoying.
M2 memory card is alot more expensive than an M1.
Also you get no usb cable in the package, which you can transfer your mp3's to your phone
Thar's right, if it wasn't for the sound, it will be just perfect.
However the amount of positive things about this phone greatly outnumber the small negatives. - Good: 1.3 Megapixel Camera,

- Good: I paid $199.00 not rrp $379
- Bad: There seems to be a sound issue when using speaker,works better with head set.
I've found this mobile to be very user friendly,or is it just me.

Easy call answer, it confused me at first cause i kept on pressing different buttons, but all you have to do is flip open the phone, which is very easy. Also to end it just close the clamshell. - Bad: Low volume speaker
Having had the phone for 2 days, i think its just great
