Sony Ericsson Z610i
By Brendon Chase on 09 November 2006
Sony Ericsson's Z610i is a hot 3G phone for this summer with some serious features under the hood, but you may not want to use it as your main camera or video player.

- Good: Nice keypad, invisible OLED w/c makes it classy and unique in terms of celphone features, nice display screen(brightness), nice cover. I had nokia6288 which has a glossy slippery cover and for almost a year i didn't get it scratched.I guess it depends on the user.If u're a kind of person who just carry-and-use the cel, this is not good for u. But for a fashionable person who knows how to take care of stuffs, then this glossy cover is just fine.
- Bad: no radio, package doesn't include headset
It's good phone.

- Good: Easy to use. Easy to switch to flight mode. Clock on see through screen is really cool and useful in meetings.
- Bad: Issues mentioned above.
The battery charge / discharge problem is really bad because it can leave you with a dead phone all day till you get back to whereever your charger is.
I don't mind the graphix etc so much, but the phone has two major probs that I've found so far.
The first is that the unit will not charge the battery up if the battery already has 75% or more charge in it. In fact it will sometimes discharge the battery even though there is no reference to it on the Net or in the instructions.
The second is that it sometimes fails to listen to the network (even though the icons suggest otherwise) meaning that you'll miss all of your calls unless you turn the phone off then on. It's a rare occurence, but it does happen.
Sony Ericsson never really have impressed me with their phones and the z610i vindicates this view.
The other thing about SE's is that their battery covers can be either difficult to take off or flimsy. Both problems exist in this case. -

- Good: - Looks awesome (love the invisible screen)
- Easy to use
- capable to hold much. - Bad: - The button keys after time start to come loose and the pad around the navigation key came off on mine; not to happy about that.
-camera is not the best, but it works okay.
-Fingerprints and scrates REALLY easily.
- PRETTY expensive, but it was worth it, am buying a new phone because i can't bear the scratches but i was really impressed with the performance.
<3 WORTH IT.
I love the settings of Sony Ericssons and I find them really easy to use. This phone looks really cool and works well too.

- Good: Battery longevity, flip-top design, sound for calls, music, reliable.
- Bad: Small memory incl, screen scratches, buttons need more feel, navigation.
Good, but navigation can be misleading, screen still prone to scratches, sound stable generally voice and music,

- Good: I'ts another superb product from Sony. Way to go!
- Bad: It's a hit hard to use for a first time user but you'll get to use with it. Use your two pointer fingers when texting, it helps a lot! For users who are looking for good quality of video or pictures, better to use a digital camera instead of the build in camera on it because it's for amateur.
The new Z610i is not bulky. I like the size, you can easily put it on your pocket.

- Good: Pretty case, that's all.
- Bad: what i already mentioned in my comments
I'm disappointed with this one. The video is not good. Pictures are not of good quality. Really, for something manufactured by Sony, I had high standards for video and pictures.
It's so hard to text using the keypad, it makes me so slow. I wish I had bought Motorazr v3x instead or Nokia N73
