Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable)

It looks amazing and plays games and movies just as well. The PSP is an outstanding portable games machine and a decent movie player, but we'll have to wait for the next version for better music and picture functionality.

I would get one...
The PSP's are damn expensive. If they were cheaper, I'd already have one.
I own a DS, but don't get me wrong, I don't want a PSP because the DS is crap. I want one because I am a gamer, and I like to play games, so I want all the systems I can get my hands on.
And the fact that the PSP has MP3 and UMD playback doesn't really bother me, I personally see that as a useless gimmick that most people won't use, but are so blinded by it that they use it as an excuse as to why the PSP is better than the DS.
Neither of these systems completely "pwns" the other, they're both good in their own respects. But it all really comes down to personal preferance, and if you actually care about portable gaming. If you want to play while you're on a bus or train, get the DS, as it has no load times and has some great "pick up and play games". If you want a more powerful system which can have deeper games, get the PSP, because there are some killer games coming out for it. -

Awesome!!
Ive had mine for 7 months now and its great. For all you people that complain about dead pixels, i have four and i hardly notice them, the pixels are so small unless you have like a 100 then dont get all hurt. I love mine and i have v2.6. that right homebrewers. why dont you all just stop playing your little tetris and all those old games from SNES. In with the new out with the old. Quit livin in the past. Get an XBOX360 like me and have fun.

they are awsome
If your into nintendo ds why dont you go and post good feedback things about it?And maybe the reason they have only the same games so far is that they are making better games.

Mediocre Gameplay
I bought the PSP on launch day. I have both the DS and the PSP. I have used the PSP maybe 6-7 times since September... Why? Because there are no AAA games on this thing! While I agree that the PSP is "better" than the DS in terms of graphics and multimedia functionability, thats about all it has going for it. The DS has addictive gameplay and better franchises. The games that Sony and its 3rd party publishers are releasing on the PSP are unfortunately not suitable for handheld gaming, Nintendo always knew this, and thats why they are doing better than Sony in the handheld market.

Cramp city!
Cramps...Low Battery....pixel disfunction and $$$$$$$$. This new PSP that Sony released is great if you want to impress your friends with playing movies, and mp3s...etc. The fact is, from a pro gamer stand this thing is a horriable gaming system... $250! Friends why? Fan boys all the way! Buy DS!
