Sony Walkman X-series (16GB) NWZ-X1050

Great sound, brilliant OLED touchscreen, noise cancellation and as much YouTube as your Wi-Fi can handle. Shame about the extortionate price.

- Good: Perfect Music Quality!
- Bad: Stupied Internet Features!
This one has good music qulity and useful video performace.. but I can't understand why including Internet web browser.. I guess sony's best terrible and horrible choice is including this web-browser not working, and not useful..

Dear Planko,
If you've got your heart on set on an X-series, buying from overseas is definitely the best option, although there may be warranty issues that need to considered. -

Hi Jianxli,
Like sound quality, noise cancellation is a very personal thing. So what Ella likes and what I like can be wildly divergent.
As for the S738 receiving 8.6 and an Editors' Choice award, and the X1050 receiving a lowly 7.2: this has nothing to do with the merits or otherwise of the noise cancellation feature. As I stated in my review the "the upsides and downsides ... are rendered moot by one thing: the price".
Were it not for the "extortionate prices" the score would have been in the 8s and an Editors' Choice award a real possibility. -

- Good: noise cancellation?
- Bad: noise cancellation?
The noise cancellation feature was praised in Sony NWZ-S738 Walkman reviewed By Ella Morton and was given an overall score 8.6. The "Editor's Choice" award was given partly because of this feature. But in this review the noise cancellation feature is doubted By Derek Fung, and given an overall score 7.2.
It raises the validity of CNET reviews and its score scheme. -

So I just have to buy it overseas and everything is dandy right?
