Among other practices, publishers have long been known for marking up prices in Australia through Steam.
Interestingly, we're not the only ones getting the raw end of the stick — for some titles the US, UK, Europe and Germany are also being hard done by.
SteamPrices.com goes some way to exposing exactly how much identical products across the world are being marked up, regardless of the lack of shipping or packaging costs.
It allows you to select your region, then compare costs to two other regions, highlighting all the over-priced items. But it goes further than this, also allowing you to conversely scour for bargains in your country of choice, and also see what titles are being withheld from your region.
Of course, to make the most of SteamPrices, you'd need to be able to buy in multiple regions. While there are many techniques to overcoming Steam's region lockouts, each with varying levels of success, none is more effective than having someone you know gift you a title from that region.
