Reviews

  • NHL 10

While it isn't as big of a leap forward as last year's game, NHL 10 is still one fantastic hockey sim.

  • Nokia N86 8MP

There's a lot to like about the N86 8MP, but it's hard to fall in love with it too. While it's well made with good features, it looks and feels like a phone from several years ago.

  • Dell Inspiron 15

The Dell Inspiron 15 is likely the best bang for buck you'll get for AU$1000, from its battery life to its upgrade options. We do miss the numpad, but the rest is perfect for the budget-conscious user.

  • Toshiba Satellite L500D

We like the Toshiba Satellite L500D, it's amazing value for its price. However, we think it's worth paying the extra AU$200 for the version with the less power hungry GPU.

  • Sony Ericsson S312

Though its spec sheet is a little thin, the S312 looks like it has the solid build of an excellent low-end mobile.

  • Sony Ericsson C510

The C510 rises high above its low price tag and our prepaid prejudices. The camera is decent and it's assisted by excellent shooting modes and settings.

  • Dell Inspiron Mini 10

The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 looks to be an improvement on the Mini 9, although the initial low resolution screen, lack of WWAN and three-cell battery option could hamper initial sales. We'd recommend waiting for the updated model coming later this year.

  • Nokia 7310 Supernova

Nokia's 7310 Supernova is a pretty phone for pretty people, but this supernova is not a star (in the astronomical or important sense) nor has it exploded in greatness.

  • Best PC games

Console titles may get all the fanfare, but there are still plenty of great games to play on the PC.

  • Best PlayStation 3 games

With its Blu-ray and music features, Sony loves to spruik the PlayStation 3 as a multi-purpose home theatre centre, but face it, you wouldn't have one if you didn't want to play games. Here's our pick of the best.

  • Best budget camcorders

A budget camcorder is not without its compromises, but these three camcorders should satisfy most casual videographers out there.

  • Best budget GPS navigators

With the words crisis and meltdown being a regular feature in newspaper headlines, we investigate some of the cheaper GPS options out there.
