    The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 looks to be an improvement on the Mini 9, although the initial low resolution screen, lack of WWAN and three-cell battery option could hamper initial sales. We'd recommend waiting for the updated model coming later this year.

    The X1's good looks and strong hardware are hampered by frequent performance lag, an unintuitive user experience and its jaw-dropping price tag.

  • Apple iMac (20-inch, 2.4GHz)

    Apple's smaller-scale iMac remains our favourite all-in-one. And while its looks, its ease of use, and its performance are all selling points, Windows PCs are starting to catch up (at least with the latter).

  • Windows 7 pre-beta (build 6801)

    At first glance, Windows 7 appears to be an advanced iteration of Windows Vista, but more consumer-friendly, with many user interface enhancements.
