Nokia's E75 looks the part and mostly performs well too, but its single day battery life is a major let-down when compared to last year's E-Series offerings.

  • Sony Ericsson C510

The C510 rises high above its low price tag and our prepaid prejudices. The camera is decent and it's assisted by excellent shooting modes and settings.

  • HTC Touch Pro2

The tilting screen of HTC's TyTN II returns in this feature-packed business smartphone. No connectivity feature is left out and its large touchscreen should be great for watching video too.

  • Dell Inspiron Mini 10

The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 looks to be an improvement on the Mini 9, although the initial low resolution screen, lack of WWAN and three-cell battery option could hamper initial sales. We'd recommend waiting for the updated model coming later this year.

  • Nokia 6710 Navigator

Nokia's third Navigator in the series, the 6710, is barely the best of the bunch thus far, with specs and features too similar to last year's release.

  • Samsung HD Icon

For the HD Icon to be more successful than its predecessor it will need to have a focused strength, in imaging and media playback perhaps, and it will need to be far easier to use.

  • Nokia N86

Though its chassis may seem unassuming, the N86 packs a whollop with a 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss camera behind it. The N86 features HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS, plus a kickstand as seen on the N96. Expect the N86 in stores in the second quarter of 2009.

  • Nokia 7310 Supernova

Nokia's 7310 Supernova is a pretty phone for pretty people, but this supernova is not a star (in the astronomical or important sense) nor has it exploded in greatness.
