  • Fujitsu M2010

    With a thick chassis and features that don't rise above the pack, the Fujitsu M2010 will have a hard time breaking through the netbook clutter.

  • Apple MacBook Pro (13-inch, June 2009)

    Previously known as the MacBook, Apple's basic 13-inch aluminium unibody laptop has been promoted to the "Pro" series, all while adding features and cutting the base price.

  • Dell G2210

    As an entry-level monitor the G2210 fares well enough, but better alternatives are available for only a little more outlay.

  • JVC Everio GZ-HD40

    JVC's CMOS-based Everio GZ-HD40 finally offers AVCHD recording, but a few shortcomings keep us from giving it a full recommendation.

  • Asus Eee PC 1000HE

    The Asus Eee PC 1000HE is a good 10-inch netbook; while we're hanging out for the higher resolution HP Mini 2140, this is definitely one of the better 10-inch netbooks on the market.

  • MSI Wind U115 Hybrid

    The Wind is still one of the better 10-inch laptops in the mix, although due to its substandard trackpad and high price, we'd suggest the HP Mini 2140 or Asus Eee PC 1000HE would be a better choice.

  • Apple MacBook Pro (2.66GHz, 17-inch)

    A little late to the party, Apple's redesigned 17-inch MacBook Pro joins the 15-inch model with a redesigned aluminium body, new trackpad with expanded functionality, and a dual graphics set-up for either longer battery life or better performance.
