Sony Ericsson W508

The W508 is a great phone for listening to music and playing games, but it's yet another Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson that doesn’t really standout from the pack.

Sony Walkman X-series (16GB) NWZ-X1050

Great sound, brilliant OLED touchscreen, noise cancellation and as much YouTube as your Wi-Fi can handle. Shame about the extortionate price.

Reviews

  • Cowon S9

The Cowon S9 is a sexy-looking gadget with exceptional audio and video quality, but its construction quality and user interface pale in comparison to the competition.

  • Sony Ericsson W980i

Most of our complaints about the W980 are purely cosmetic. Looks aside, this latest Walkman works well as both a phone and a dedicated music player, with a substantial 8GB of storage being the icing on the cake.

  • Sony Ericsson C702

There's a lot to like about the C702, sadly the Cyber-shot camera is not part of this list. People hunting for a rugged mobile phone will rejoice at this compact and attractive option.

  • Sony Ericsson W890i

The sleeker user interface, improved keypad and HSDPA make the W890i more attractive than its predecessor, the W880i.

  • Sony Ericsson W960i

So close yet so far: the feature-packed W960i smartphone stands out on paper but is held back by a clunky processor and a laggy interface.

  • Nokia 5300 XpressMusic

The Nokia 5300 XpressMusic phone works well as a music player — a larger memory card would be useful — but achieves relatively average results as a phone.

  • Sony Ericsson K750i

We can barely fault the 2-megapixel K750i from Sony Ericsson, which is a very compelling and easy-to-use handset for mobile users looking to upgrade.
