  • Acer Extensa 5635Z

    The Extensa is a business laptop with no particular frills. That's not a bad thing per se, but it's tough to get too excited about it, either.

  • Asus M60J

    Core i7 is here in mobile form. Some vendors will be attempting to rush these laptops out as close to the Windows 7 launch as possible. Keep an eye out — looks like the season to upgrade is well and truly upon us.

  • MSI EX720

    MSI's EX720 isn't a bad laptop, but it certainly strikes as one with too many shortcuts taken. Still at AU$1,649 it's affordable, and if you're budget and technically minded you'll likely get some decent mileage out of this laptop.

  • Dell Studio 17

    The Dell Studio 1735 is a decent laptop which is best for multimedia and casual gaming, but the glossy, hi-res screen isn't suited to general usage.
