During the course of 2006, better cameras were built into handsets, fashion phones battled it out on the catwalk, GPS and Wi-Fi integration became common, and advances in mobile networks saw faster downloads for content.
Nokia N73
Nokia's N73 is one of the best camera phones we've seen this year, with a wide range of multimedia and business features tucked under its belt. Responsiveness, however, is not a strong point.

Sony Ericsson K800i
Sony Ericsson has thrown down the gauntlet with the 3.2-megapixel Cyber-shot K800i. We've crowned this the best camera phone so far in 2006, but the bevy of extra features and ease of use make the K800i a good choice for first-time 3G users.
