Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6)

Intel Mac users will like Snow Leopard's smartly designed interface enhancements, and its Exchange support is a must-have (especially with Outlook for Mac on the way). With a ton of technological improvements, Snow Leopard is worth the AU$39 upgrade fee.

    The Denon DVD-1940 is a worthwhile successor to to the 1930, with great DVD pictures. If the upscaler was up to snuff it would be perfect.

    The feature-rich MPIO HD300 performs well, but its touch-sensitive controller can be irksome enough to scare away users.

  • iRiver H10 (5 GB)

    The iRiver H10 isn't perfect by any means, but its advanced features, useful touch pad, and nice colour screen keep it on a par with similarly priced competition.
