Navman MY500XT

Improved, but still deeply flawed. We'd suggest checking out the lesser fruit from the Navman tree first.

Reviews

  • Navman MY55T

Just like the 4.7-inch MY50T, but with added goodness in the form of Bluetooth hands-free, more memory, an FM transmitter, 3D landmarks and a higher capacity battery.

  • Garmin Nuvi 265WT

With its relatively elegant traffic antenna and simple-to-use interface, the Garmin Nuvi 265WT makes a good case for itself.

  • Garmin Nuvi 265T

As its name suggests, the 265T adds all the necessary traffic messaging doo-dads to the 3.5-inch Garmin Nuvi 265.

  • TomTom XL Traffic (2nd generation)

Compact, correctable, good looking and easy to use, the TomTom XL is a great portable GPS. For AU$100 more there's this Traffic version with, uhh, traffic messaging built-in.

  • Kogan Agora Pro

The much-hyped Google Android phone operating system will hit Australia on 29 January 2009, in the form of the Kogan Agora and Agora Pro. At first glance, this looks to be one of the most exciting products of the year.

  • TomTom Go 930 Traffic

TomTom's top shelf Go 930 features an FM transmitter, traffic messaging, user correctable maps, text-to-speech, Bluetooth and a 4.3-inch screen, but its killer feature is that it comes pre-loaded with maps from 45 countries.

  • TomTom Go 730 Traffic

Bluetooth hands-free, FM transmitter, lane guidance, traffic and supposedly more intelligent routing mark the Go 730 Traffic out over its less expensive siblings. And unlike last year's Go 720, it's reasonably price from launch.

  • Bose 3-2-1 Series II

This is a beautifully designed system, with great features for the price.
