Reviews

  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900 is a good, fast snapshot camera that's also very attractive and extremely compact. Its battery life is a little short and some will find the photo quality unworthy of the price tag. You're paying for the great design more than for great photos.

  • TomTom One 140

Same, same but slightly better than before. Quicker responses and lane guidance justify slight premium over fourth-gen One.

  • Apple iPhone 3GS (32GB)

The iPhone 3GS is faster and we appreciate the new features and extended battery life, but call quality and 3G reception still need improvement.

  • Canon Pixma MX330

The Canon Pixma MX330 doesn't produce the best quality prints, but you won't find a more versatile printer in the sub-$200 category. An auto-document feeder, 1.8-inch LCD screen, and easy-to-use features make it an excellent choice for creative homes on a budget.

  • Nikon D5000

Judged on its own merits, the D5000 is a great digital SLR for those wanting something a bit better than the entry-level D60 model, and equals or betters a lot of the performance specifications of the D90.

  • Loewe Art 42 SL Full-HD+ 100 DR+

Not within everyone's ballpark, the Loewe Art 42 SL is a pricey LCD TV, but if you can afford it, you won't be disappointed. It's a stylish bit of kit with plenty of upgrade and customisable options.

  • Sony Ericsson W508

The W508 is a great phone for listening to music and playing games, but it's yet another Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson that doesn’t really standout from the pack.

  • Palm Pre

With webOS, Palm goes past matching its competitors and offers something more. The Pre might not be a home run, but it is an indication of good things to come.
