HTC Snap
The Snap will appeal to a specific segment of business-minded road warriors who need good messaging but don't want to pay for extras like media or social networking.
Motorola MOTOSURF A3100
The MOTOSURF A3100 is a valiant attempt at a Windows Mobile handset, but its various problems affect important aspects of the phone and spoil the overall experience of using it.

Samsung UltraTouch (S8300)
Its camera is great and the screen looks amazing, but the UltraTouch is not a knockout. It's a weird mix of business looks, average apps and dodgy performance, and we just can't tell who exactly Samsung is trying to sell it to.
-
HTC Touch HD
The Touch HD is a fantastic phone, if you can afford one. It out-performs every HTC phone previously and looks fantastic doing it.

HTC Touch 3G
Amongst the numerous HTC handsets this year, the unassuming Touch 3G may not make the strongest impact, but it is certainly one of our favourites.
-
HTC Touch Pro
The Touch Pro is a step in the right direction for HTC. It's still a bit sluggish but overall it performs better than the Diamond, plus the keyboard is a winning touch.
-
Palm Treo Pro
Beneath its iPhone-esque exterior lurks a very capable business phone. The Palm Treo Pro may not have the snazzy interface designs of the competition, but this means it performs better in most areas.
-
BlackBerry Bold 9000
The Bold is what BlackBerry fans have been waiting for. It's feature-rich and sharply designed, let down in small measure by some cumbersome software.
-
HTC Touch Diamond
It's hard to hate the beautifully designed and feature-rich HTC Touch Diamond, though its frequently laggy interface did test our patience, and its battery life is a concern.
-
Apple iPhone 3G (16GB)
While parts of the iPhone 3G are superb, there are still some big features missing from this device. If you add up the extras, the iPhone doesn't seem like a phone that everyone can afford.
