Reviews

  • HP iPAQ Voice Messenger

The iPAQ Voice Messenger is at best, mediocre. There's nothing here that HTC, BlackBerry or Apple don't already do better, and unless your company already has a great HP contract, it's hard to recommend.

  • HTC Dream

Google's Android is awesome, but the Dream needs work. Parts of this handset are superb, but its lacklustre design and poor battery life hold it back significantly.

  • Palm Treo Pro

Beneath its iPhone-esque exterior lurks a very capable business phone. The Palm Treo Pro may not have the snazzy interface designs of the competition, but this means it performs better in most areas.

  • HTC Touch Diamond

It's hard to hate the beautifully designed and feature-rich HTC Touch Diamond, though its frequently laggy interface did test our patience, and its battery life is a concern.

  • Apple iPhone 3G (16GB)

While parts of the iPhone 3G are superb, there are still some big features missing from this device. If you add up the extras, the iPhone doesn't seem like a phone that everyone can afford.

  • Palm Treo 650

PalmOne updates its winning Treo smart phone, improving the display, adding Bluetooth and quad-band GSM connectivity.

  • Mobile TV gives a new view of Games

Apple may be doing well selling downloadable TV shows for viewing on iPods, but the world-first technology being demonstrated by Telstra and Microsoft at Melbourne's Commonwealth Games could soon knock the download-and-watch model on its head.
