Reviews

  • Dell UltraSharp U2711

Continuing its IPS assault on the monitor space, Dell outs a 27-inch, 2560x1440 wunderkind, with all the expected trappings to boot.

  • Toshiba Regza 47ZV600A

The Toshiba Regza 47ZV600E is a capable LCD TV which delivers in the audio-visual department, all at a fairly inexpensive asking price.

  • Dell SX2210T

We're still not convinced touchscreen monitors plugged into desktops without dedicated software is a good idea, and the SX2210t does nothing to change this. Combined with the heaviness of the stand and the cost, unless you absolutely have a hankering for touch, we'd suggest a normal monitor instead.

  • Dell Inspiron Mini 10 (Intel Atom N450)

Dell's basic netbook adds better battery life and the newest Intel Atom CPU, and robust configuration options add a level of flexibility many other netbooks lack.

  • Toshiba Regza 46RV600A

The Toshiba 46RV600A is a 46-inch LCD television that features a 3000:1 native contrast and a full-HD picture.

  • Dell Inspiron Zino HD

While our review sample doesn't quite have the power to be a usable HTPC, if you're willing to spend a little more Dell offers the upgrades to get there.

  • Dell IN1910N

The Dell IN1910N is an economy monitor that sacrifices too much in terms of performance and features to achieve its low price tag. We recommend saving up for a better model.

  • Alienware M15x

Alienware's big and bulky 15-inch M15x pulls out most of the stops, thanks to a super-powered CPU.

Features

  • Best 13-inch laptops

13-inch laptops are the new 15-inch. With decent resolution screens, excellent portability, good performance and in some cases stellar battery life, this segment is set to explode in 2010.

  • MacBook Pro vs. the PC competition

Mac or PC? The war rages on. We've thrown the most recent 13-inch MacBook Pro and the closest PC to a Mac we've seen, the Dell Studio XPS 13, into the ring for an all-out brawl.

  • Christmas gift ideas under AU$100

Most people will be spending less than AU$100 on Kris Kringle gifts or stocking stuffers, so we've rounded up a bunch of our favourite inexpensive tech gift ideas, from MP3 players to video games and even printers.

  • Most beautiful monitors

Monitors have a tendency to be fairly plain objects, but every now and then a vendor goes out of its way to bring design to the fore.
