Reviews

  • Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is significantly cheaper than most other touchscreen handsets on the market. While it's nowhere near as slick as the iPhone or HTC Hero, we still reckon it offers a good user experience for the price.

  • Motorola H790 Bluetooth Headset

The H790 may not have some of the complementary technologies we sometimes see in Bluetooth products, but the functions it does perform it does exceptionally well.

  • Jawbone Prime

The Jawbone Prime's ability to filter out nearby sounds is astonishingly good. We suspect black magic is at work here.

  • Sennheiser PXC 310 headset

Noise-cancelling headphones are a necessity for any frequent flyer, and if you have the money, the PXC 310 is an excellent example of what you'll need.

  • Philips SHL8800

Despite the funky replaceable covers, a tight fit and overwhelming mid-bass mean the Philips SHL8800 aren't the best headphones for the money.

  • Navman MY500XT

Improved, but still deeply flawed. We'd suggest checking out the lesser fruit from the Navman tree first.

  • Creative Zen X-Fi2 32GB

The Creative Zen X-Fi2 is the company's first touchscreen MP3 player which includes expandable storage and native support for FLAC.

  • Bose QuietComfort 15

While they're no bargain, the Bose QuietComfort 15s currently offer the best sound and silencing capabilities in a pair of noise-cancelling headphones.

  • Motorola aims for stylish, discreet Bluetooth headsets

Motorola takes the concept of fashion phones across to its line of Bluetooth accessories, with a range of stylish headsets that imitate design characteristics of its RAZR, RIZR and KRZR mobiles.

  • Bringing gigs home on your phone

With most mobile phones now sporting cameras of 2-megapixel resolution or higher, concerts have become fair game for fans keen on capturing the experience for sharing with fellow band devotees. But is the resulting footage any good? We took a phone to a gig to find out.
