Logitech Speaker System Z320

Logitech's Speaker System Z320 offers good looks and decent sound quality at a reasonable price. The speakers are rather lacking on the bass front, though.

Sangean WFT-1D+

A bit of a jack-of-all-trades, this Sangean offers lots of different radio reception as well as excellent streaming capabilities. At the moment, it's a pretty unique bit of full-width component kit too, and given the feature count it represents terrific value for money.

Reviews

  • Dell UltraSharp U2410

The only way to get better quality than the Dell UltraSharp U2410 is to spend a lot more money — if you need a 24-inch, are on a budget but still need great quality images, we can wholeheartedly recommend this screen.

  • Sony Ericsson C903

The Sony Ericsson C903 blew our minds with its excellent photo quality. Its plastic-y body and lack of Wi-Fi connectivity reflect its low price, but it performs like a more expensive model.

  • Samsung PS50B850

The Samsung PS50B850 is an attractively slim plasma TV that offers all the latest bells and whistles with good picture quality to boot.

  • LG Viewty Smart

It's called the Viewty Smart, but it's definitely not a smartphone. Aside from the decent camera, there's very little to recommend this high-priced mobile.

  • Panasonic SDR-H80

The Panasonic SDR-H80 has the zoom power of a telescope and offers plenty of storage in a compact body, but the video results aren't nearly as thrilling.

  • HP 2309m

At a price of AU$649, the 2309m is a decent buy. While it performs well, the blacks aren't as deep as we'd like, and we'd be more tempted to find something with a matte screen to cut down on reflections.

  • Apple MacBook (June 2009)

For AU$1599, it's hard to beat this MacBook's nearly Pro-level specs if you're in the market for a budget Apple laptop.

  • Panasonic Toughbook CF-W7

The Toughbook CF-W7 isn't bad. It's designed for a specialised niche, and if you're constantly exposed to water we'd say it'd be a good choice. We'd expect more for our money though, and would otherwise be more tempted to pick up a Thinkpad for general ruggedness.
