Petrol is expensive in Europe, so cars are small. No surprise then that car makers decided to show off their small, fuel-efficient wares in Paris.
Audi's sporting S4 gets a smaller engine
On the heels of this year's Audi A4 redesign comes the new S4, which Audi announced will appear at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Interestingly for a performance car it will feature a smaller engine than the model it replaces.
Mercedes-Benz wins race to build first Lithium-ion hybrid
Lithium-ion batteries are common place in consumer electrical items but, thus far, automotive engineers have been hampered by various technical issues, not least their susceptibility to explode. Mercedes-Benz seems to have cracked these problems with its first hybrid, the S400 BlueHybrid.
