Toyota plugs the Prius in

After much badgering by DIYers and energy activists in the US, Toyota relented and built a plug-in version of its Prius hybrid, showing it off at the 2008 Paris Motor Show today.

Wooden car claims top speed of 385km/h

Apparently there's some worthwhile science in those Soap Box Derby cars we had to make in the Cub Scouts after all. North Carolina-based Joe Harmon Design has created "the world's first wooden supercar", which can reportedly reach speeds of 385km/h.
