Australia's midnight iPhone launch
At midnight 11 July Optus became Australia's first mobile carrier to sell the iPhone 3G. We were on hand to witness the festivities and to finally play with Apple's much hyped handset.
Today, at the keynote speech of the 2008 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Steve Jobs, the Skivvy King, announced a 3G-capable second generation iPhone and put his patented "iReality iDistortion .Field" into action.

The new interactive Telstra "flagship" store will be open from 2 November. Dubbed T.Life, the store is located at 400 George Street, on the corner of George and King on the group floor of the Telstra building.
Live traffic reports coming to a GPS near you
Melbourne peak-hour commuters can stop hanging out for the radio traffic reports, after the launch of Australia's first automated traffic congestion notification system. Service to Sydney, Brisbane and other Australian cities is expected to follow in coming months.
At its Sydney headquarters this week Nokia spilled forth a Santa sack of new devices for the holiday season, including new XpressMusic models and the much-anticipated 8GB version of its N95 handset.
