Reviews

  • HTC Magic

Parts of the phone are as the name suggests, magic, but the absence of outstanding multimedia jeopardises the success of this latest Android.

  • Vodafone Compass

Compass makes an excellent navigation tool for casual users looking for directions a few times a month or year. More frequent users should look to something more robust.

  • LG KS360 (WebSlider)

With touchscreen numeric input, a full QWERTY keyboard and super-cheap price tag, there's no better phone for teens that love to message.

  • Optus USB Slimline Modem

The Optus USB modem works as advertised, but fluctuations in service and a few software bugs have hampered our experience during testing.

  • Vodafone Internet Stick

For those blessed with excellent 3G reception in their homes the Vodafone Internet Stick will serve you well. Be sure to check Vodafone's coverage map before coughing up the cash.

  • Samsung SGH-i780

With two batteries and a separate charger, the SGH-i780 could be a wise choice for the mobile professional, although it's a bit bulky and the screen is a touch small for some applications

  • Sagem my511x

Like a bug in amber, the buttons on the 511 are maddeningly trapped within a translucent substance. For this reason, we can't recommend it.

  • Palm Treo 500v

Although it's a good smartphone, the Treo 500v needs either Wi-Fi or HSDPA to deliver that knockout punch.
