Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900 is a good, fast snapshot camera that's also very attractive and extremely compact. Its battery life is a little short and some will find the photo quality unworthy of the price tag. You're paying for the great design more than for great photos.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W150

Available in black, red or silver, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W150 offers 5x optical zoom, face detection and optical image stabilisation amongst its feature set.

Reviews

  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300

Although we like the features and image quality of the W300, it lacks a wide-angle lens which has become a must-have for a premium shooter. While other alternatives in the market may not offer as high a capture resolution as the Sony, they do make up with other features.

  • Nikon D60

Despite modest improvements in performance and a couple of new features, Nikon's D60 fails to impress and costs more than some competing models.

  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120

It's not as feature-laden as higher-end models, but the Sony Cyber-shot W120 offers plenty of style and substance for its price.

  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W90

Quick shooting and generally good picture quality make the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W90 a solid choice.

  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300

A great design, fast shooting, and lots of features can't overcome the fact that the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300 simply doesn't take very good pictures.

  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80

With a shiny new interface, fast performance, and great pictures, the DSC-W80 sits on the top of the budget snapshot heap.

  • Canon EOS 400D

The Canon 400D remains a very good first dSLR, with a balance of automatic, semi-automatic and manual controls to progress through as your creative photography skills improve.

  • Nikon Coolpix S7c

Nikon's Coolpix S7c is a slim Wi-Fi camera that continues to deliver the image quality we enjoyed in the S6.
