  • Olympus Mju 7020

We're a bit ambivalent about the Olympus Mju 7020. It's got a wide-angle lens and a relatively long zoom at 7x, but misses out on good picture quality and class-leading features like HD movie recording.

  • Nokia E52

At first sight the Nokia E52 won't set your heart racing, but its excellent battery life and ease of use make it a smartphone worthy of consideration.

  • Nokia N86 8MP

There's a lot to like about the N86 8MP, but it's hard to fall in love with it too. While it's well made with good features, it looks and feels like a phone from several years ago.

  • Olympus E-P1

Though it's rather expensive, we can't help adoring the E-P1. The pictures it takes with the included lenses are mostly great, just don't expect compact-like features such as a viewfinder and flash to be included.

  • Sony Bravia KDL40E4500

The Sony Bravia KDL40E4500 is a competent television at a good price, and features network playback, clean styling and a proficient picture.

  • Nokia E55

The E55 comes with all the smartphone trimmings you'd expect in a 9.9mm thick frame — the thinnest smartphone design around. Its dual-QWERTY keyboard could take some getting used to though.

  • Nokia 5730 XpressMusic

Nokia's 5730 XpressMusic is like the mullet of mobile phones; business up front, party out the back. This mix of business and consumer features will be welcomed by some, but could leave the 5730 in a techno-limbo.

  • Nokia E63

Like its older brother, the E71, the E63 will make an excellent messaging phone, but is for people who need to be connected without the tech trimmings.

  • Sony Walkman X-series (32GB) NWZ-X1060

After our preview, we're enchanted with the touchscreen Walkman, but fear that it will only appeal to a small minority of the MP3 player market, namely non-conformists and music aficionados with a burning touchscreen itch.

  • Dell Latitude E6500

The Dell Latitude E is a glimpse into the future of laptops. With high expandability, configurable and a strong design, it should suit most corporate environments.

  • Nokia E66

While we like the E71 better, the E66 is a great smartphone with class leading features. If you want the functionality of a business phone without the bulk of a PDA form factor, the E66 is the phone you've been looking for.

  • Nokia E71

With its combination of excellent features and performance, matched with sleek design and its affordable price tag, Nokia's E71 manages to outshine recently released smartphones as our business phone of choice.

  • Olympus E-3

Following a four year hiatus, Olympus has released its new flagship digital SLR and successor to the E-1, the Olympus E-3.

  • Shure E500PTH sound isolating earphones

If you're the type who prefers uncompressed or lossless formats, require low-profile headphones, and don't mind investing in high-end headphones, the Shure E500PTH should be on your short list.

  • Shure E4c headphones

Shure's E4c earbuds are simply the best in-ear headphones we've ever heard.

  • Nokia E65

Easily one of the best looking handsets on the market with a good assortment of features including Wi-Fi, quadband support and Quickoffice, but the E65 is better suited to those after business chic rather than business geek.

  • Nokia 6288

A squarish slider with a focus on business and video, the 6288 is a repackaged version of the 6280 that addresses a few of the original's shortcomings.

  • Samsung Z400

This 3G slider with a 2-megapixel camera is a very agreeable compromise for those wanting a few business-focused features in an everyday phone.

  • SanDisk Sansa e250 (2GB)

SanDisk has produced a winner in its e series. Not only do the players have a great list of features, its price makes it a very compelling proposition for those looking for a small MP3 player.

  • Fujifilm FinePix E900

Fujifilm takes the compact E series up to 9 megapixels.
