The basic calculator under Windows has always been pretty basic.

Most people quickly find themselves working up a basic spreadsheet as soon as they have more than a few simple sums to deal with.

Well, don't be so hasty to judge the calculator application in Windows 7. When you start it up, it looks just as it always did. But you can check the Mode menu to open up the new Statistics or Programmer views for some really complex options. Or try the Options menu to access unit conversions and special templates for calculating mortgage rates, mileage estimates, plus date calculations.

Never underestimate the power of the calculator again!
