You can't buy me love (maybe), but you will be able to buy The Beatles: Rock Band in Australia come 9 September, according to game developer Harmonix.
Like previous Rock Band releases, the game will be sold in a number of differing bundles across the range of current-generation game consoles, and each will attract a different price. The full game kit including a replica bass guitar and drum kit, plus a microphone and stand will retail for AU$369.99 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.
Game-only packs will also be released, priced at AU$89.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and AU$79.99 for the Wii.
The Beatles: Rock Band is the latest in the Rock Band series of rhythm games and will be the first to feature tracks by the Beatles. Players will be able to play from a list of 45 tracks, and can test their singing skills in the new three-part harmony vocal gameplay. How about releasing Rock Band 2 and its instruments instead?
According to Sony, it should've been released in Australia in March this year... http://au.playstation.com/games-media/games/detail/item149809/Rock-Band%E2%84%A2-2/
The US gets Rock Band 2 well over a year ago, UK finally got it late last year, yet no retailer has a release date for the game here. They only have dates for Beatles Rock Band and Lego Rock Band.
Paying $349-369 for a bundle of old-fashioned looking instruments... pass. I think most would much prefer the Rock Band 2 instruments right? -

Tomorrow Never Knows - FTW
The drums on this one will RULE. (remember Chemical Brothers' "Setting Sun"? basically that beat was Tomorrow Never Knows but amped up to club levels)
Paperback Writer, Helter Skelter, Twist and Shout
Hmm... "Help" would have been a good inclusion - for the vocals and harmonies - but i ain't complaining!
I wonder if "The End" is the secret last track they haven't mentioned. It's fitting, and it's got an all out jam on it - Ringo's drum solo, along with the 2 other guitars. -
